Tasty treats, cultural crafts, musical instruments and many local keepsakes were on hand at the first Farmers’ Market of the summer in Invermere over the weekend. The unique collection of arts, crafts, food and more, will be staged in downtown every Saturday until the end of the summer. Located in front and behind Gerry’s Gelati, the market runs from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. each week.
While a number of booths are from areas outside of the Columbia Valley, including places like Fernie, Kimberley and Cranbrook, local people selling local products front the majority of stalls. A summer in the Columbia Valley is never complete without a few trips to the market, so be sure to check it out!
