Dec 20, Invermere –
One of the valley’s favorite celebrations of the holiday season is the annual Musician’s Lakeside Food Bank Benefit, held every year at Invermere’s Lakeside Pub. This year it will be held on Sunday, December 20th at 6pm. For music lovers and fans of our very best local musicians, this is an evening not to be missed.

Bill Cropper, organizer of the event and emcee for the evening, has arranged a line-up of talent that will please every musical taste. Every musician he contacted said they wouldn’t miss the event for anything. Expect to hear Bill himself, Kurt Reichel, Deb Ede, Bruce Childs, Mike and Fraser Smith, Stacey and Bud Decosse, Franz Trasinger, Pat Hess, George Blisner, Brian Rogers, Pat and Lisa O’Sullivan, Joe Hildis, Bernie Evans and who knows who else will show up to lend a hand with this popular behefit for the local food bank.
Bill described the program for the evening by saying that throughout the night, after each song or set, a Santa hat gets passed around and contributions are made in appreciation of each local artist.
Last year, totally unexpectedly, some people offered to auction off an item or a service and the enthusiastic and generous crowd started bidding. In total, the event raised an awesome $3700 for the food bank.
Bill invites everyone to bring lots of small bills and a non-perishable food item because it’s all about helping the food bank. The place fills up fast so come early and enjoy some of the best music you’ll hear anywhere.
