Valentine’s weekend quilting retreat

Calling all quilters! Winter Sweetheart Retreat coming up.

Imagine having a whole weekend with no interruptions! No meals to cook, no phones ringing (at least not for you!) and the opportunity to get scads of sewing done. Sound too good to be true? Well, not if you register for Purcell Mountain Quilting’s Winter Sweetheart Retreat Friday, February 12th to Sunday, February 14th.

Bring your sewing machine, mat, rotary cutter and rulers, all your quilting stuff and the projects you are working on …and a coffee mug because there will be pots and pots of coffee and tea all weekend long! Oh, and bring a pair of inside shoes to help keep the classroom floor clean.

We will be meeting from 4pm, or as soon as you can make it after that, till 10pm on Friday. Once we set up, we will have a show-and-tell time and then get right down to business. There will be snacks and a beverage supplied by Purcell Mountain Quilting.

Breakfast will be on Saturday morning at 9 o’clock, lunch at noon and dinner at a local restaurant (included in the cost) at 5, unless, of course, your someone special has a plan for you to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The rest of the day, until 10pm, you can sew, sew, sew!

Sunday, breakfast will again be at 9am, and lunch at 12pm, with non-stop sewing for the rest of the day until 3pm.

There will be demos during the weekend and some really fun stuff, including a make-and-take project. Participants are asked to bring a treat for the snack table. We have an oven and a microwave if you need them.

The cost of the weekend is $125 per person. Please call early to register as space is limited.
