Entertainment lineup to rock the Relay

June 13-14, Invermere –

The final countdown to the 2009 Relay for Life is on. With less than two weeks to go until the event, the crunch is on for teams and individuals to register and participate in the night long event.

Taking place from June 13 at 7 p.m. to June 14 at 7 a.m., the Relay for Life is a time for cancer survivors, those battling the disease and supporters to come together and raise money for treatments and ultimately a cure. [Read more]

Columbia Valley Relay for Life — Register your relay team to golf The Ridge for free.

Copper Point Golf Club has once again teamed up with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to host the second annual Tee Off for Life.

On May 13, all teams registered for the 2009 Columbia Valley Relay for Life will get to golf nine holes at The Ridge at Copper Point, at no charge. ”Copper Point has again generously donated the use of their greens in appreciation of all the teams that have registered to participate in this year’s Relay for Life,” said relay coordinator Lisa Logstrup.

Relay for Life kickoff party

April 16 Relay kickoff –

The Columbia Valley Relay for Life will be celebrating this years event and getting everyone into the relay spirit at the Relay Kickoff party on April 16 at Copper Point Golf Course.

The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. and the evening will feature the musical stylings of DJ Justin Futa, live entertainment, a live and silent auction, door prizes, balloon prizes, appetizers and a cash bar. [Read more]
