Fuzzcat had its beginning in a torrential downpour on the banks of the Han River in South Korea when two music lovers jammed everything from Iron Maiden to Outkast to Manu Chao. Those musicians were singer/guitarist, Chris Ryan and guitarist, Ted Campbell, and from that point, via many stops along the way, they found their way to Vancouver, BC. [Read more]
Local band to play at Olympics

Soon, the nations of the globe will focus on Whistler Resort, where one of the World’s most celebrated events will unfold — the 2010 Olympic Winter Games –- and some local musicians will be a part of it.
Franz Grasegger, of the local band Late (L8) was approached last July by the German Tourism Bureau asking if he would be interested in entertaining at an event on Whistler Mountain for an Olympic celebration on February 27. [Read more]

Lakeside benefit filled to overflowing

The 9th Annual Lakeside Food Bank Benefit on Sunday was an incredible success, reports organizer, Bill Cropper.
From 5pm until the doors closed at 11, the Lakeside Pub in Invermere was filled to overflowing with music lovers, both locals and visitors. “The musicians were unbelievable”, said Bill. “Each had a completely distinct and individual sound. There was something for every musical taste and everyone went away happy.” [Read more]
